Informal portrait of QX738 Lieutenant Kenneth Alexander Blyth, 2nd Anti Tank Regiment. He enlisted on 13 May 1940, at Kelvin Grove, Qld, and saw service as a Troop Gun Sergeant in the Middle East before becoming an instructor at the AIF Middle East (ME) School of Artillery at Nuseirat, south of Gaza. On return to Australia he continued to instruct at the Puckapunyal Anti Tank School and received training in Military Intelligence, Tactics and Signals. He was posted to Lae, New Guinea as Officer Commanding (OC) Visual Training prior to his discharge on 18 October 1945.
