Description

The remains of the Royal Australian Navy coal hulk Kelat which is lying half submerged in Darwin Harbour after it sustained damange by raiding carrier borne Japanese aircraft on 19 February 1942. Kelat was built in 1881 and used as a cargo vessel on the route from Australia to London. The Kelat was requisitioned by the RAN in 1941 as a coal hulk.
