Informal portrait of 422065 Flying Officer (FO) Edward Phipps Twynam RAAF, pilot, attached to No. 625 Squadron RAF. FO Twynam was killed in a flying battle over Germany on 4 November 1944. This photograph is part of a memorial card found on a wreath which was left at the AWM on Anzac Day 2004. A handwritten note left with the card reads: 'In proud memory of Flying Officer Edward Phipps Twynam, Squadron 625, fondly loved by his parents Henry and Constance Twynam and his sister Joan, daughters Phyllis and Audrey.'
