Studio portrait of 401972 Flight Lieutenant (FltLt) George Leonard Lansell, a Wirraway pilot with No 4 (Army Co-operation) Squadron (4AC Squadron) RAAF. A farmer in the Riverina district of NSW, Lansell enlisted on 26 April 1941and served in Papua New Guinea between September 1942 and April 1943. He returned to Australia and was discharged on 25 February 1944.
