United States Air Force (USAF) appreciation of the work being done by the airmen of the RAAF Transport Flight in Vietnam is well known. Every month the Commander of the 315th Air Commando Group, Colonel E Hannah, presents a plaque to the "most outstanding RAAF or USAF airman of the month". Latest winner of the award is 110253 Leading Aircraftman (LAC) Kevin Martin, airframe fitter, of Ipswich, Qld, shown receiving his plaque from the Commanding Officer of the RAAF Transport Flight, 22015 Squadron Leader (Sqn Ldr) Victor Douglas (Vic) Guthrie, AFC of Narromine, NSW.
