The Mayor of Vung Tau, South Vietnam and the Commanding Officer of the RAAF Transport Flight in South Vietnam, 22015 Squadron Leader (Sqn Ldr) Victor Douglas (Vic) Guthrie, AFC, of Narromine, NSW were among the first to greet the Australian Prime Minister Mr Harold Holt, when he arrived at the RAAF Caribou transport aircraft base during his tour of South East Asia. Dressed in slacks and an open necked white shirt, Mr Holt took a keen interest in the activities of the Flight. Here he admires the kangaroo insignia on the tail assembly of a RAAF Caribou while discussing the work of the Flight with the Mayor of Vung Tao, South Vietnam and Sqn Ldr Guthrie.
