Wedding portrait of 6028 Acting Sergeant (A/Sgt) John Laurence Bubb, 17th Reinforcements, 21st Battalion, of Beechwood, NSW, and his wife Mary Letitia Bubb (nee Prowse) who married at Adelong, NSW, in 1915. A/Sgt Bubb enlisted on 8 August 1915 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Afric on 3 November 1916. He was later killed in action at Passchendaele on 4 October 1917, aged twenty five.
