Informal group portrait of medical staff and patients in a hospital ward, possibly in Bulawayo, Southern Rhodesia [now Zimbabwe]. The ward is decorated with flowers in jars of water, pretty Japanese fans and framed portraits in an attempt to brighten up the primitive conditions as indicated by the bare earth floor.
