Members of 9 Platoon, C Company, 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR) on board a Chinook helicopter flying to Bien Hoa Province to commence Operation Coburg. Members identified on left only, second from left Pte Fox (either Graham Douglas Fox or Simon Gerard Fox); 61515 Sgt Raymond Leslie (Ray) Ewell (looking rearwards); 280910 Warrant Officer Class 2 (WO2) William John Lapthorne; 1731113 2nd Lieutenant (2nd Lt) John Fraser looking out of window. 2nd Lt Fraser, a National Serviceman of Queensland, was killed in action on 24 March 1968.
