Ford speaks of his arrival in Saigon; the disproportionate number of helicopters between United States and Australian forces; obtaining his cameras; equipment he carried in the field; Saigon as the hub of information and corruption; journalists and Viet Cong in Saigon bars; Horst Fass and Pat Burgess as photographers; Australian soldiers being vilified as the 'Queen's hired murderers'; retaining prints of Australian casualties in the Battle of Long Tan.
