Informal portrait of Wendy Sharpe sketching by the harbour, while on deployment as an Australian official artist in East Timor. She was appointed as an official artist by the Australian War Memorial, and travelled to Dili on 12 December 1999, to record the activities of the Australian led International Force for East Timor (INTERFET). During her time in East Timor she was attached to the Army History Unit (AHU). Her escort, Private Cameron Simpson of the AHU, is sitting next to her.
