Description
Pair of black leather women's shoes. The leather soles are stamped 6D and feature steel toe cleats; the leather heels are finished with rubber. The soft brown leather lining is stamped ‘6 D 4093'.
History / Summary
Standard WAAAF issue shoes worn by 350080 Flight Officer Evelyn Mona McLennan of Glen Iris, Victoria whilst serving in the Administration section ('G' Branch) of RAAF Frognall, Victoria during the Second World War. McLennan was born 30 April 1916 and was discharged on 27 July 1946. Her date of enlistment not known.
