Studio portrait of 639 Gunner (Gnr) Leslie Alexander Watkins, 14th Field Artillery Brigade, of Adelaide, SA. Gnr Watkins enlisted on 9 July 1915 and embarked from Adelaide aboard HMAT Geelong with B Company, 32nd Battalion. He was killed in action on 4 August 1917 in France, aged 21 years.
