Informal portrait of 27289 Driver (Dvr) James George Badkin, 9th Reinforcements, 2nd Divisional Ammunition Column (2 DAC), of North Sydney, NSW, taken on board Troopship Aeneas. Dvr Badkin enlisted on 8 May 1916 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Aeneas on 30 September 1916. He was wounded outside the village of Roisel in France and died on 21 September 1918, whilst serving with the 1st Field Artillery Brigade, aged 25 years.
