Description
Collection relating to S5294 Leading Writer James Yeomans, Royal Australian Navy, 1942-1945. It comprises correspondence written by Yeomans to his mother Ada, typescript copies of the letters and a story on CD titled ' A Ripple in Time' written by Jonathon Sheahan, Jame's grandson, based on the wartime correspondence. The correspondence provides a detailed account of some of his wartime experiences, including his training at Flinders Naval Depot and service as a writer on HMAS Shropshire as well as his recreational activities.
