A group of reinforcements for the Special Force in Korea arrive at Kure, Japan, on Friday, November 1950. A group of soldiers line the deck of the ship as it docks at Kure wharf. Identified are ; 2400181 Private (Pte) W McGrath of Merrylands, NSW (third from right); Pte M Dale of Kingsford, NSW (second from right) and 2400238 Pte L Thornton of Neath, NSW (right). Pte Thornton had previously served in the Second World War. He died in Japan on 6 March 1952, during his period of service in the Korean War.
