Description
An unidentified anti aircraft spotter, probably on the RAN destroyer HMAS Bataan operating off the Korean, coast pulls a thick duffle coat over his collection of jerseys and jumpers, and you can be sure he’s wearing raw wool seaboot socks underneath his winter woollies and heavy serge trousers. A balaclava helmet gives some cover for the ears and cheeks, but stinging eyes and a numbed nose are always ills to be cured when the watch is ended.
