Description
The original grave of Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Hubert Jennings Imrie Harris, Commanding Officer of the 5th Australian Light Horse Regiment. Lt Col Harris was killed in action on 31 July 1915, aged 44 years. Harris Ridge, on the Gallipoli Peninsula, was named after him during the 5th Australian Light Horse Regiment's occupation of the area in June and July 1915. The grave has been decorated with different coloured stones laid out in the shape of a cross.
