Portrait of NX37310 Private (Pte) Jack Blackstock, 2/30 Battalion, of Parkes, NSW. Prior to enlisting in the AIF on 25 June 1941 he served with the Citizens Military Force (CMF). Pte Blackstock died of illness on 29 August 1943 as a prisoner of war (POW) in Burma having been captured in Malaya.
