Description
Josiah Francis, Australian Minister for the Army is on a tour of Australian forces in Japan and Korea in December 1951. During his trip he is inspecting troops, conditions and equipment, as well as meeting with senior officers with the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF) and the British Commonwealth Forces Korea (BCFK). At a New Year's Eve dinner, attended by Mr Francis (out of picture), guests meet informally before dinner. On the far right is Mr W R Hodgson, Head of the Australian Mission Tokyo, centre is a member of the ministerial party, while the other guests are unidentified.
