Josiah Francis, Australian Minister for the Army is preparing to board an aircraft of 66 Transport Wing, RAAF, probably at Iwakuni, Japan, after a tour of Australian forces in Japan and Korea in December 1951. During his trip he was inspecting troops, conditions and equipment, as well as meeting with senior officers of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF) and the British Commonwealth Forces Korea (BCFK). On the tarmac he is being farewelled by an unidentified woman and Lieutenant General W Bridgeford, Commander in Chief of BCOF and BCFK
