Description
Informal portrait of 3/5585 Private (Pte) Ted Blyth, of Moama, NSW (left), and 2/8607 Pte Bill Hardy, of Auburn, NSW (right), both of 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR). Pte Blyth is cleaning his disassembled Bren gun, and Pte Hardy is writing a letter home, as they sit on a groundsheet outside their shelter which has been erected in a rubber plantation. They are both relaxing after spending the previous night on ambush duty, trying to trap Communist terrorists in the jungle trails of Southern Kedah.
