Description
Group of four Australian soldiers resting in the grass five miles from home during a 20 mile march. Identified from left to right:- 218006 Lance Corporal (L/Cpl) (Temporary Corporal (T/Cpl)) Henry Edward Suttor, 5RAR (RA INF) was the top soldier on the recruitment course in 1967; Thomas (Tom) Denic who later served in Royal Australian Artillery; 2166889 John Ashton Faint, who later served with 5RAR (RA INF) in Vietnam from 3 February 1969 to 16 July 1969; unidentified. T/Cpl Suttor served in Vietnam from 3 February 1969 until his death on 16 November 1969. He was killed by gun shot wound from a sniper fire at Hat Dich, South Vietnam.
