Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Sir Henry Wells, KBE, CB, DSO, Chief of the General Staff Australian Army (light uniform), inspects the guard on his arrival at Headquarters, 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR). The officer (left with sword) is 2/4042 Captain (Capt) Geoffrey Sinclair Lucas, of Sydney, NSW and the officer walking behind Lt Gen Wells is 3/141 Lieutenant Colonel J G Ochiltree, MBE, Commanding Officer, 2RAR. Capt Lucas served in the Second World War as a Lance Corporal, with the service number NX105889 with the 2/rd Cavalry Squadron and also in Korea with 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR) in 1952. Identified eighth from the right in the rank of soldiers is, 1/4010 Corporal (Cpl) Charles (Charlie) Mene, an indigenous serviceman from the Torres Strait.
