Portrait of 415161 Alexander Edward Manners from Maylands, Western Australia (WA) who participated in No. 18 Course 4 SFTS (Service Flying Training School) pilots course at Pearce Aerodrome, Cunderdin, Geraldton, WA, in 1941. He enlisted in the RAAF on 21 July 1941, was promoted to Flight Sergeant and was killed in an aircraft accident in Cyprus on 31 August 1943 while flying with 46 Squadron, RAF.
