Portrait of 415090 Jack Elliott Parkes from Mount Lawley, Western Australia (WA) who participated in No. 18 Course 4 SFTS (Service Flying Training School) pilots course at Pearce Aerodrome, Cunderdin, Geraldton, WA, in 1941. He enlisted in the RAAF on 23 June 1941, was promoted to Sergeant and was killed on flying operations over the United Kingdom on 19 February 1943 while flying with No 16 Operational Training Unit RAF.
