Two unidentified British Commonwealth senior officers arriving at United Nations (UN) tent area ...
Description
Two unidentified British Commonwealth senior officers arriving at United Nations (UN) tent area on 27 July 1953, the day the truce was signed. An honour guard of military police drawn from the various UN forces lines the approach and an unidentified UN accredited war correspondent is waiting beside his movie camera at right. All of the UN forces are wearing a light blue paper identification tag on their shirts. This photograph is one of a series taken by the Australian Mr Douglas (Doug) Bushby in his capacity as a UN accredited War Correspondent. Mr Bushby devoted much of his time to relief and missionary work amongst Korean refugees, orphans and North Korean and Chinese prisoners of war.
