Description

New Zealand Army officer's khaki wool service dress tunic with a worsted braid 'slash' and two embroidered rank pips for lieutenant on both of the plain cuffs. The tunic has pleated breast pockets with pointed flaps and large expanding pockets over each hip with plain flaps. The waistband has a brass belt hook on the left side. The New Zealand Army general service buttons, blackened collar badges, and curved 'NZR' shoulder titles, are brass. The collar badges are those of the New Zealand Rifle Brigade. The jacket is lined throughout with khaki cotton. A pocket with a vertical slit opening has been let into the lining of the left breast. The maker's label is sewn inside the back of the collar.
