Portrait of 415126 John Joseph Egan from Victoria Park, Western Australia (WA) who participated in No. 18 Course 4 SFTS (Service Flying Training School) pilots course at Pearce Aerodrome, Cunderdin, Geraldton, WA, in 1941. He enlisted in the RAAF on 21 July 1941, was promoted to Flight Sergeant and was killed in a flying battle over Germany on 24 May 1943 while flying with 214 Squadron RAF.
