Description

One of Australia's hopes for the international swimming contest is Lieutenant (Lt) Peter McGrath of Reid, ACT. Lt McGrath is Transport Officer at Headquarters, 28 British Commonwealth Infantry Brigade. He graduated from the Royal Military College in 1952, but before entering the college, he attended Sydney University. Lt McGrath has been in Korea for eight months, and has just completed his first serious swim since the inter-services championships in Australia last year. His time for the 50 metre swim was 30 seconds.
