Lieutenant (Lt) Ivor 'Blue' Hodgkinson (swimming in lane 1) of Perth, WA, and the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), finishes second in the 200 metres freestyle, to gain points for the Commonwealth Division at the United Nations forces' swimming championships at Seoul, Korea. Lt Hodgkinson was WA Junior State champion in 1947.
