Description

Kim Dong Sool of Pusan, who has been four years with the Australian forces in Korea, reads in fluent English, items of news from the Korean papers, to 32793 Private (Pte) Dudley 'Kip' Kipping of Mansfield, Vic. They are high on a hilltop in Korea, probably in the Kansas Line area. Pte Kipping has completed ten months of his time in Korea with B Company, the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, as a second termer. He was previously engaged with the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR) in Korea in 1951 and 1952. Before enlisting he was working on his fathers farm at Mansfield, and played for the Mansfield football club in 1949 and 1950.
