Description
Two soldiers from NSW country towns take a break from clearing out a bunker position on the Kansas Line in Korea. 27900 Private Robert Arthur (Bob) Roughley (left), of Bathurst, NSW, gets a 'brew' from Pte Dick 'Banjo' Wood, of Coonabarabran, NSW. The two men joined up together in Sydney two years ago, come to Korea together, and are now serving as Bren gunners in the same platoon in the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR). They have nearly completed their twelve months tour of duty in Korea, so both will be back home soon.
