Description

A cosmopolitan group of United Nations soldiers relax in their barrack room at the Eighth Army Headquarters at Seoul, Korea. They are all members of the Eighth Army Honour Guard, a chosen ceremonial unit which represents all the United Nations countries which still have troops serving in Korea. Included in this group are Australians, Greeks, Ethiopians, and one Frenchman. The Australians are, 13400 Private (Pte) John Edward (Ted) Wrathmall (fourth from left), of Toowoomba, Qld, and 13398 Pte Thomas David (Tom) Morgan (fifth from left), of Emerald, Qld. Both are members of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR).
