Description

Two years ago the Imjin River in Korea was the scene of much bitter fighting, but now it's a favourite bathing spot for soldiers of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR) serving on the truce line. Here 28510 Private Henry Phillip Yarrington, of Earlwood, NSW, takes some Korean children for a ride on his air mattress. The children belong to a group of 50 war orphans from Bukhansan Orphanage in Seoul, who are spending the day at the 1RAR camp.
