Arriving on leave at Ebisu Camp, Tokyo, from the Korean truce line, 4327 Private (Pte) Rex Herbert Stevens (front), of Barmera, SA, stands on the steps and surveys the surroundings. His friend 1410845 Pte Kenneth (Ken) Alfred Walker, of Rockhampton, Qld, removes his luggage from the jeep. Both men are serving with the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), and are dressed in winter issue clothing for below freezing weather on arrival.
