A Japanese employee of the British Commonwealth Forces Korea (BCFK) in Japan, receives medical treatment from Corporal Cpl) D Hemsley, Royal Australian Army Medical Corps (RAAMC), at Kure, Japan. The woman had her fingers caught in an electric fan. Before he joined the Australian Army five years ago, Cpl Hemsley was a medical orderly in the Royal Air Force. Originally from Devonshire, England, his home is now in Brisbane, Qld. Cpl Hemsley is a keen spearfisherman, and in civilian life was a horticulturist. He has been in Japan for 18 months.
