The Stass Base Camp being rebuilt after being taken over by A Company, 3rd Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR). 3RAR took the camp over from the 1/7th Gurkhas in March 1965. The camp, near the border between the Malaysian state of Sarawak and the Indonesian province of Kalimantan, was used by A Company of 3rd Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), during the Confrontation with Indonesia.
