Description
Bren Gunner 5896 Private (Pte) Graham Fox and his number two, Pte Kevin (Kev) E "Sadie" Hawkins, both of A Company, 3rd Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR) on coastwatch duties in the Malacca Straits. From August 1964 to January 1965, attempted landings across the straits (from Indonesia to peninsular Malaya) were made by Indonesian infiltrators, and a full-scale invasion was feared.
