The Series 2A FFR was officially taken on charge in 1965.They were used by a variety of units for transportation and radio communications duties. Radios fitted included the C42/B47, AN/VRC-47 and AN/VRC-49.

History / Summary

The type was deployed in South Vietnam. In May 1969 there were 55 of this type with the Australian Task Force. 19 of these were being held in reserve by 2 AOD. The type was superceded in service by the Land Rover 110 in the 1980s. This vehicle (ARN 114030) is from a group 114026-114045, at least 2 of which are known to have seen service in Vietnam. This vehicle was disposed of by 21 Supply Battalion on 29 August 1983. Date of manufacturing: 6/66.
