Description
Concealed beneath jungle growth is one of the well-constructed entrances to an extensive enemy bunker system which has just been captured in an assault by a combined armoured and infantry force as part of Operation Concrete II. Located about 5 km northeast of Dat Do, the bunker complex was occupied by over 50 Viet Cong of C2 Company, D445 Battalion, at the time of the attack. The assault was carried out by elements of the 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (7RAR), tanks of 3 Troop, A Squadron, 1st Armoured Regiment RAAC, and armoured personnel carriers (APCs) of 2 Troop, B Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment RAAC.
