Studio portrait of 846 Gunner (Gnr) John Farquhar Gellion, 2nd Reinforcements, 13th Light Horse Regiment, of Alberton West, Vic. Gnr Gellion enlisted on 8 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Malakuta on 10 September 1915. He was killed in action in Vaulx Hill, France, on 3 April 1917, aged 29 years whilst serving with the 4th Field Artillery Brigade.
