Studio portrait of 335 Private (Pte) Frank Thompson, A Company, 19th Battalion, of Oatley, NSW. Pte enlisted on 26 February 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ceramic on 25 June 1915. He died of sickness on 21 February 1917, in France, aged 26 years. Pte Thompson was awarded the Bronze Medal for Valour (Italy) on 26 May 1917 and the Military Medal (MM) on 26 June 1917.
