Former NSW country jockey 28395 Private John Keith (Johnny) Boughton, of Sydney, NSW, is now a signaller in the Anti Tank Platoon of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (1RAR), and is taking part in a battle exercise. Johnny won several races in country districts before he joined the Regular Army. He was married a few months before he came to Korea in May 1955.
