Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) H C H Robertson, Commander in Chief British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF), inspects an RAAF Guard of Honour on his return to Japan early in April 1948. The guard was mounted by 81 Fighter Wing RAAF, at Iwakuni. Left to right are: Lt Gen Robertson; Flight Lieutenant P Cotter, officer in charge of the guard, son of Mr R W Cotter of Murwillumbah, NSW; Leading Aircraftman Cadet, of Sutherland, NSW; Leading Aircraftman Arlick of Launceston, Tas; and Leading Aircraftman C J Scott, of North Richmond, Vic.
