Armed with a British L1A1 Self Loading Rifle, an unidentified Gurkha soldier, wearing a green beret , standing beside the circular guard house at the entrance to the old camp at Bau. 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), took over from the 1/10th Gurka Regiment in late March 1965.
