A Belvedere heavy lift helicopter from 66 Squadron, RAF, waits on the helipad at 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), company base at old Bau while supplies are loaded which will be air lifted to the forward 3RAR company bases at Stass and Gumbang in Sarawak. As there were no roads to these forward bases all supplies were air dropped or brought in by helicopter.
