At the wet canteen
Description
Page 25 of a handwritten and illustrated manuscript titled 'A day in camp'. The work was created to commemorate the first anniversary, on 9 March 1943, of the 4th Australian Employment Company. The work originally comprised of 26 pages however page eight was not given to the Memorial. The illustrated poem describes a full day in camp, each page is about another section of the day.
