Description
The body of a tsunami victim half concealed in a pile of debris, left by the tsunami of 26 December 2004. Banda Aceh, close to the epicentre of the earthquake off the coast of northern Sumatra, was hit hard by the tsunami which followed. Australian military forces were deployed to Banda Aceh, under Operation Sumatra Assist, to provide humanitarian relief following the disaster, which killed over 110,000 people in Indonesia.
