Studio portrait of two brothers, 3397 Lance Corporal (LCpl) Frederick Charles Morgan, 1st Battalion (left) and 3398 Corporal (Cpl) Walter Victor Morgan, 1st Pioneer Battalion. They both enlisted on the 16 July 1915 and embarked from Sydney on HMAT Themistocles on 5 October 1915. Cpl W V Morgan was admitted to the 40th Stationary Hospital in France with pneumonia on 25 January 1919. He died, aged 27, on 7 February 1919 and is buried in the Ste Marie Cemetery, Le Harve. LCpl F C Morgan returned to Australia on 29 April 1919.
